“Get me a rag!” “Just a minute...” for piano solo will be given its world premiere performance by Shiau-uen Ding, along with fourteen other chosen titles, as part of the Composer's Voice "15 Minutes of Fame" Concert Series, at 1:00 PM on February 12, 2012, in Jan Hus Church, 351 E. 74th St., New York City.


Variations on "Arirang" (piano solo) has been selected for use in the University of Central Missouri New Pieces Project. One of their student committee members will be preparing it for performance at their NPP Debut Recital on April 15, 2012 on their campus. It will also go on a list of repertoire that they plan to share with various audiences in presentations to be given during the 2012-2013 academic year.


Fanfare, Tango and Fughetta on Hebrew Themes (brass quintet & optional timpani) was performed for a second time by Carolina Brass (Timothy Hudson, trumpet Dennis de Jong, trumpet, Robert Campbell, horn, David Wulfeck, trombone, Matt Ransom, tuba, John R. Beck, timpani) on a program called Joy of the Season on December 13, 2011 in Meymandi Concert Hall, Progress Energy Center, Raleigh, NC, 27601.


The Ad Hoc Singers performed Haneirot halalu (T solo, SATB) in concert December 4, 2011, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Arlington, Virginia.


Haneirot halalu (T solo, SATB) was performed by the Ambler Choral Society of Fort Washington, PA, Mark Daugherty, conductor, on November 27, 2011.


Limericks and Laughter Thereafter for clarinet solo was given its world premiere performance by Bruce Curlette, along with the other fourteen chosen titles, as part of the Composer's Voice "15 Minutes of Fame" Concert Series, on October 30, 2011 in Jan Hus Church, New York City.


My arrangement of Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen by Gustav Mahler was performed by the New England Conservatory Concert Choir, Erica Washburn, conductor, on October 24, 2011 in Jordan Hall, Boston.


An Easy Decision (SATB & piano) was performed on a concert given by the Choral Guild of Atlanta, Inc., Clair Maxwell, conductor, on October 23, 2011 at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, Alpharetta, Georgia.


A Prayer for Peace (SATB) was performed by The First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco, Dr. Mark Sumner, director of music, October 2, 2011.


My arrangement of Vocalise by Sergei Rachmaninoff for soprano solo, SATB chorus (divisi), or tenor or soprano solo, men’s chorus (divisi), is tentatively scheduled to be published by Musica Russica on their next new issue.


Psalm 117 (SSAA) will be a part of the 2011-2012 repertoire of the West Liberty University Women's Vocal Ensemble, Ryan Keeling, conductor.


August 5, 2011: Remember for SATB chorus unaccompanied was featured at the Choral Conductor's Workshop Concert, Rodney Eichenberger, Artistic Director, Adam Thome, conductor, in Canon Beach, Oregon. July 2011: Meditations and Memories for two alto flutes is featured on the CD Monologues and Dialogues performed by flautist Peter Sheridan on the Australian label MOVE Records (Catalogue Number: MD 3349). The individual track will also eventually be made available on iTunes by MOVE Records.


Poem and Lamentations for violin and piano was performed by violinist Robert Sorel on a recital during the summer of 2011.

Grant Us Peace (SATB) was performed by the Nevada union High School Choir, Rod Baggett, conductor, on April 18, 2011 for the opening of the 30th anniversary Festival of Patras during their tour of Greece.


To a Wild Rose by Edward MacDowell (originally for piano), arranged for chamber orchestra, received its premiere performance on April 15, 2011 by the Chamber Orchestra at Northwestern College, Orange City, IA, conducted by Kimberly Utke Svanoe.


February, 2011: Beau Soir (Beautiful Evening) by Claude Debussy (originally for voice and piano) arranfed for SATB chorus and piano (ECS #7689) was new issued and is now available in-print. Click here to hear a performance by the Philovox Ensemble, Robert Schuneman, conductor.
