Enigmatic Gavotte (guitar solo)

My brief musical composition, "Enigmatic Gavotte" for guitar solo, served as a brief, modal study for my "Enigmatic Dance Suite for vibraphone solo which I also completed in 2024. The rhythms for the beginning and reprise of "Enigmatic Gavotte" are inspired by those found in the "Gavotte" from French Suite No. 5 by J. S. Bach, BWV 816. The middle of the piece effectively runs those rhythms and the pervasive octatonic pitches backwards at the interval of a tritone. Enjoy! --- © Copyright 2024 by Stanley M.
