The six million murdered then,
They would see survivors
Praying in their memory...
A psalm beyond the silence.
If they could be here now,
Those too, too soon taken,
They would share this proud prayer
Of the children of truth...
A psalm beyond the silence.
If they could be here now,
Those who would have loved us,
They'd hear words in our hearts:
“L'chaim!... Yes!... Never again!...”
A psalm beyond that silence.
if they could be here now,
The kin we should have known,
They would say: “Love all truth,
We can choose to bear it...”
A psalm beyond their silence.
If they could be here now,
Those once too often chosen,
They could choose, as we do,
To pray through joy and pain...
A psalm beyond Thy silence.
