Choral Piece of the Day, Installment 58: "Dormiva dolcemente" Reimagined

Singing Gabrieli's magnificent secular choral work "Dormiva dolcemente" in the Cleveland Heights High School Choir (OH) stayed with me all these years. In 2023, I created these two versions. Each one begins with Gabrieli's original version followed by my own which is a carefully considered reharmonization of his. The two versions may be performed separately or together.
