I'M IN THE MOOD FOR HUNGARIAN TWO for Piano Solo (2024)

Although this piece was composed for a piano competition in which high school level pianist was one of the categories, I'M IN THE MOOD FOR HUNGARIAN TWO can of course be played by any pianist who has the technique to do so. The title has to do with two things: the main theme is based on the Hungarian Minor scale, and this is the second piece in my catalog named I'M IN THE MOOD FOR HUNGARIAN, hence TWO, which also imparts TOO! The first one is a brief piece for flute solo. This is a really fun piano piece that mashes together musical styles based based mainly on those of Beethoven and Brahms. This piece awaits a world premiere performance, so please consider programming it. Have fun, and enjoy!
