Although brief, this is far and away the most sophisticated piece I have ever tried to arrange for any ensemble let alone orchestra. It is an intricate and intensely moving miniature. I hope you enjoy it.
Having now arranged a number of his piano pieces for orchestra, the insights I have gained are tremendous. I plan revisit at least the first one I arranged, Intermezzo, Op. 117, No. 2 in B-flat Minor, as I now know that I can make it richer sounding.
